The Write Notes – August 2020

Dear Students and families,

Ready or not.  With kids being away from classrooms since mid-March, the return to school looks a little different for all of us.

While many are eager to return in-person to their friends and their teachers some have opted to home school or study virtually.  (I’m not really fond of the “virtual” description for online-learning.  I prefer “actual” and we all expect our students to “actually” learn some great stuff however the lessons are delivered.)

While most of our students have returned to in-person lessons, we still are able to teach music online to those who choose.  In fact, we have teachers dedicated to online music education for students who simply need it. And, if needed the SJAA could make the switch to online music lessons as a whole simply and quickly.

It will continue to be safety first around here.  Our waiting areas are technically still “closed” for the time being and we remain diligent.  Our protection plans, safety and cleaning protocols are constant, continuous and on-going.  The SJAA is dedicated to making any needed changes and in tune with local and state guidelines.

Hope you’ll stay tuned with us as we have a lot of big things ahead for our students.

Special performance opportunities, contests and more.  We are always working towards something fun and rewarding.

Wishing you and your whole family the very best in the days back to school.  Hope it’s a great year for all.

Thank you!
